Program Overview

EIT Health Morning Health Talks is a traditional event series, running in 13 CEE countries since 2020, powered by EIT Health. The first occasion of EIT Health Morning Health Talks in Albania is organized by EIT Health InnoStars in a strong collaboration with Barleti University, and Barleti Medical Group. It is a high-level business breakfast designed to foster collaboration and dialogue among healthcare leaders in Albania and the region. This invitation-only event will gather stakeholders from healthcare, academia, public institutions, business, and investment to discuss how to build stronger healthcare ecosystems in Albania. This event will focus on the digital transformation of healthcare and healthcare systems.

With a PhD in Computer Science from Sapienza University of Rome and extensive academic experience, including postdoctoral research at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Sokol has contributed significantly to advancing mobile cloud computing and AI acceleration. With a PhD in Demography from LSE, Dr. Gjonca has built an extensive academic career, contributing to global research on health and mortality in developing countries, demographic transitions, and population health. His work often focuses on the Balkans, particularly Albania, exploring the interplay between development and tradition in shaping demographic behavior. Beyond academia, Dr. Gjonca has advised international organizations and governments, including the World Bank and UN agencies, and has played a key role in reforming higher education policies in Albania.

In addition to his academic roles, Dr. Burazeri has collaborated with international organizations, aiming to bridge the gap between research and policy to foster impactful public health interventions.
